I am just a nobody but as I listen to shows and visit different boards it seems nobody really wants to race. Now I hear alotta people saying it needs to go back to how it was back in the old days.
So how can racing get back to the old days?
Do the talk shows need to stop putting certain info out there for the public to soak up?
Should racers get out of the lime light of the talk shows just to set up a race?
Are large bets the cause of stopping races?
Are stops killing possible races?
What needs to change to make the grudge game better and like it use to be?

In my opinion it seems like it's "cool" to call yourself a grudge racer. But nobody's racing. Racers are shook - scared to death and scared to death that they might win and scared to death that they might lose. 2011 was the year of free entry races and still nobody raced.
It's just like being at a party with the ladies if u get out there and dance u might get some cut...but when u know u can't dance. U put ur back up agaist the wall and watch the players play.

I like a little shit talking but I dont want to bet my house letter for a race. Maybe the track can setup the racing and let the racers deside on the details.

Nobody got no heart...We were at MND last weekend and raced on motor just to get a race...everybody wants to stip a race to death instead of taking a chance of something close.

Back on subject, the real problem is to many people want to race cars exactly like them example, sb's only want to run sb's or gbody's only want to run gbody's. Kinda funny I finally read this thread cause I was thinking this very thing today. Now I understand a gbody can be heavy, truth be told though a lot of them aren't (you can get a malibu down to 28-2900 lbs without any fiberglass other than the normal hood, bumpers type stuff. Now when you get one that has fiberglass doors, fiberglass frontend what makes it any different then a mustang? Why can't the two run heads up? Are car is 2900+lbs (I will put it on scales for anyone who doesn't believe me and we can bet the world) so if there is a bu that weighs damn near the same with one of those hogs that most of them have in them these days, what's the difference? Same with sb cars, of you got a 2500lbs sb car vs a 3000lbs big block car, what's the difference? I would think the weight would make it an even playing field? Isn't that what they do in class racing is have weight limits to even the field? What about the gangster ass sb's that damn near make the power of a nice conventional headed bb? It's partly a promotion problem, having sb nos only races, or gbody only races. People are basically to picky these days. Now of course I would love to run nothing but 28" tire cars, but there aren't enough to keep me satisfied for a whole year, that means either time to put some 29's on or time to say fuck it and just run them anyways, which it don't matter to me if I think we close I will try your ass no matter what tire or suspension or motor you got.
